Center for Career Planning and Development (CCPD) works as the heart of IMPS College OF Engineering AND Technology, of West Bengal. As Heart pumps blood to all the part of body in the same way CCPD pumps opportunities to all the students related to Training, Placement and Corporate Interface. The establishment of CCPD at IMPS College OF Engineering AND Technology was with the goal to construct and advance the Industry-Academy Relation. This Relation ensures the implementation of industry’s current trends among the students and help in training students with the feedback shared by industry personal. CCPD is standing on four strong and important pillars that are continuously working towards matching the standards of industries and achieving the mission of IMPS College OF Engineering AND Technology, of West Bengal The four Pillars are:

Exclusive GATE Coaching :

Even after class hours (beyond 5 pm). We are providing special training to senior students (3rd& 4thYr) who are applying for higher education (M.Tech). Even after these special classes we provide special transportation to the students’ up to central place of Malda Town to avoid any inconvenience to the students or parents. For this no extra cost is to be borne by the students.

Exclusive Soft Skill Development :

The present scenario to get placement is not tough but most of the employers put forward SOFT SKILLS as an essential requirement which means students should have capabilities to speak English well and to write correct English. These qualities are lacking in most of the students but if any student is keen to develop these soft skills, it can be assured that this can be developed by our system of grooming the students without any extra expenses.We are incorporating soft skill development classes in routine from 1st sem to 7th sem. It can be challenged that any serious students can elevate himself/herself at a level that industry needs.

Exclusive Classroom Training:

Experts are invited from industries to impart in-house practical training in our laboratory in addition to practical classes. They also share their practical experience in class room

Hostel Accommodation

To provide proper accommodation boarding & lodging facilities, we possess a Boy’s Hostel and a separate Girl’s Hostel. The accommodation capacity of boys & girls are 400 & 125 respectively. The hostels have 65KVA generator for uninterrupted power supply. The hostels are well ventilated, spacious & furnished with the best of furniture & other co-related facilities. In this comfortable environment, student can concentrate in their studies. Other facilities, in the hostels, are hygienic kitchens, safe drinking water, dining halls, guest rooms, separate faculty room etc. The hostel has an attached mess and a reading room. Hostel rooms have attached bath & toilet. Students shall keep to the hours set for the meals and studies. There shall be no disturbance during study hours. Noisy games, playing musical instruments etc are likely to disturb other students are strictly prohibited in the hostels. Banking facilities (Indian Bank) are provided in the college campus. The campus also has the paid telephone facility for national & international calls. In addition to this, hostels have a medical care centre that ensures regular check-ups to spread the tenets of good health, the process done by qualified physicians from a reputed hospital.

Sports and Recreation

This college not only concentrates on studies but also gives importance in other activities. Sports and Games are an integral part of any student. Physical education & sports play vital role in achieving the aims and objectives of Education. The students, of IMPSCET, have provided with excellent facilities and encouraged to take part in major competitions held in West Bengal, particularly in Engineering Institutions. They also organize different sports competitions to enhance leadership qualities, team spirit and organizational skills. Students Sports Committee has organized several events during 2007-2008 academic session. The sports year starts with the organization of the Inter Hostel Tournaments in various games i.e. badminton, chess, cricket, football, table tennis, volleyball. The following facilities are developed and maintained over the years for the students. >> Football 1 multi-purpose field.

Events :

There are many events, which are occurred in our college like National Conference, Fresher's Welcome, Social, Many Competitions etc. There is another event, which is inter-departmental football match and cricket match etc.

Fresher's Welcome :

This college arranged a great two days party for new comers. It could be held on august. A gem of performance marked the fresher’s welcome day by many rock bands like 'Shrishti'.

Social :

It is a colorful day of our college. After spending a semester & a rigorous examination all, we needed a bit of refreshing air. All of the students are thriving for leisurely wave of joy and pleasure. IMPS College of Engineering & Technology, Malda organized a youthful extravaganza rightly christened “Wave of Young's”. This comprising of recitation, dance, song and various performances put together by students.A gem of performance by many Rock Bands (FOSSILS) marked the Final day.

Competitions :

At the time of Swarasati Puja & Social there are many competitions held by our college viz Drawing, Rangoli etc. IMPSCET organized a quiz competition between all schools, colleges that are stayed at Malda.IMPSCET participated in a ROBOTICS Competition and won the 3rd prize all over the West Bengal.
